Ascent

I art-directed and led a smaller project called Ascent, which was a vertical slice for a 3D platforming game in which you take control of a humanoid plant whose goal is to navigate harsh environments and scale giant trees. This project had the goal of making a playable demo in the course of 3 months.

For this project, I was responsible for leading the Art direction, Concept and Character art, Level and lighting, UI and marketing and branding of the game.

Fantasy Park

I was the lead artist on a fantasy park, helping to lead an art team.

Some of my responsibilities involved:
• Helped to guide the 'blue sky' vision of the team both through art direction, principles (rules) and concept work.

•Planning and managing the project from an ‘artistic’ perspective, In consideration of production requirements, limitations and budgets.
• Producing concept art that would help shape the visual style and look of the game.

•Mentoring artists on the team and providing feedback in the form of paint overs and written feedback.

In addition to other responsibilities, it was fun working on world building.
